Clomid

Clomiphene tablet

What is it used for?

CLOMIPHENE is a fertility drug which is used to increase the chances of the pregnancy. It helps women ovulate (produce a mature egg) properly during their monthly cycle. As opposed to the other similar treatments, clomiphene alone does not have any significant effect on your chances of having multiple babies. It may only occur for roughly 5 out of every 100 women who are undergoing this treatment course. Clomiphene would be occasionally prescribed to men with low sperm counts, which are causing fertility problems.

Also let them know if you are a frequent user of caffeinated or alcoholic drinks, if you smoke, or use illegal drugs. All of those may affect the way your treatment works. You should always consult with your health care professional prior to giving up on or taking up any of your medicines.

Is there anything I should pay attention to while taking it?

You should definitely make sure that you understand how and when this medicine to be used. You should know when your ovulation is, thus figuring out when exactly to have sexual intercourse. This is to maximize the chance of getting pregnant.

Pay regular visits to your doctor to check on your progress. You may also need hormone level tests or you might need to use home-urine tests in order to check for ovulation. Try to keep all appointments as requested.

As opposed to other fertility treatments, this medicine does have any significant effect on your chances of having multiple babies. A slight increase of a chance to bring up twins may only occur for roughly 5 out of every 100 women undergoing the treatment course.

You should refrain from taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you suspect pregnancy.

This medicine is not intended for long-term usage. Most women who benefited from it did so within the first three monthly cycles. Your doctor will take care of monitoring your condition. This medicine is normally used for up to 6 total treatment cycles.

You may get drowsy or dizzy during the treatment course. You shouldn’t drive, use machinery, or do anything that requires mental alertness until you are certain about how this drug affects you. Neither should you stand up or sit down quickly. This is to reduce the risk of dizziness or fainting spells.
